Event - The true meaning of our life is to plant trees, under whose shade we sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. With this inspiring thought, Science teachers at Adani Vidya Mandir, Ahmedabad, made the students aware and connected to the green world of the school by conducting” Tree walk” for all classes 4 to 12 on various days of this month. The students were made aware of different types of trees, shrubs, climbers, creepers, flowers and fruits in the garden. They came to know about scientific and botanical names of different plants along with their uses. Teachers also informed about the flowering seasons of various plants along with uses of medicinal plants like Neem, Tulsi etc. It was very informative and enriching activity as this helped them to understand the importance of trees in our life.
SDGs- SDGs focused were SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13 – Climate Action, SDG 15 – Life on Land
